Nature Provides

20131215-191001.jpg

This beautiful Red-shouldered Hawk perched on a tree in our backyard on Saturday. My wife snapped the picture. It’s pretty common to see these hawks being chased by crows and to hear their distinctive kee-yeeear vocals. This particular snapshot also inspired me to write the accompanying haiku.

God Bless!

We always watch for hawks by our house and as we travel. We have seen them perched in some of the most unlikely spots. A couple of the roads we use regularly provide good hunting, so they are often on fence posts or power poles. Once in a while we get a barn or grey owl. That is a special treat. Good picture.

The picture of the hawk was beautiful, but the commercial from Publix was so precious. I hope you and all of your family have a blessed Christmas. Love, Mimmei
